I live in Pennsylvania. In the 18th century. Many Germans settled in Pennsylvania.
German Americans established the first kindergartens in the United States.
By 1775, Germans made up about one-third of the population of Pennsylvania.
I believe many Germans came to Pennsylvania because it looked similar to Germany. With the landscape.

You may have a little bit of America there. I have a little bit of germany here, also!

I find over and over again funny, that there are these German words for some things...like Kindergarten and so..
